Shares later pulled back to close 689.4% higher at $78.94 after the Nasdaq briefly paused trading in the stock almost a dozen times for high volatility.\nAeroClean (AERC) makes an air-filtering device called Purgo (pronounced “pure go”) to sanitize air in hospitals, elevators, airplanes and more.\n“Our solutions are medical-grade, eradicating viral, fungal and bacterial airborne pathogens,” the company wrote in a statement announcing the IPO’s pricing. “Our purpose is simple: to never stop innovating solutions that keep people healthy and safe.”\nAERC reported in a Form 1-A filing that it had five employees, zero revenues and about a $4.7M loss for its latest period, although the firm didn’t include any dates for the period.\nThe company offered 2.5M shares at$10 apiece via what’s called a “Reg A+ IPO,” which allows businesses to raise as much as $75M with less documentation than a standard go-public deal requires.\nAERC wrote in its IPO filing that it expected to have about 11.4M shares outstanding following the offering, valuing the firm at about $114M on a non-diluted basis prior to Wednesday’s rally.
