Boeing jumped nearly 2% as DHL had ordered nine more 767-300 Boeing modified freighters.

The company announced late Sunday that DHL Express,, a logistics unit of Deutsche Post DHL Group, had ordered nine more 767-300 Boeing modified freighters (BCF).

This is DHL's largest single order for 767-300 modified cargo aircraft so far. DHL has taken over seven of the eight 767-300 Boeing modified cargo planes that have been leased to DHL's partner airlines in the Middle East and Latin America to support its expanding regional network. It is expected that the new cargo aircraft will help expand DHL's intercontinental long-distance fleet to cope with the growing global demand for cargo capacity.

So far, Boeing has received more than 100 orders and commitments for 767-300 Boeing converted freighters.

Moreover, itplanned to add three 737-800BCF modification lines in North America and Europe, and signed an order with Icelease for 11 cargo planes as the start-up customer of one of the new lines.

According to reports,Boeing planned to open a modified line at London Gatwick Airport in 2022. In addition, it is planned to open two modification lines in British Columbia, Canada in 2023.
