Roughly speaking, it’s the gap between the rates of growth in money supply and gross domestic product, an indicator known to eco-geeks as Marshallian K. It just turned negative for the first time since 2018, meaning GDP is rising faster than the government’s M2 account.
\n
The shortfall comes from an expanding economy that’s quickly depleting the nation’s available money. The deficit could become a problem for markets at a time when excess liquidity is seen as underpinning rallies in everything from Bitcoin to meme stocks.
\n
“Put another way, the recovering economy is now drinking from a punch bowl that the stock market once had all to itself,” Doug Ramsey, Leuthold Group’s chief investment officer, wrote in a note last week.
\n
How big a threat is this? While stocks kept rising during frequent negative Marshallian K readings in the 1990s, the pattern since the 2008 global financial crisis -- a period when the central bank was in what Ramsey calls a “perpetual crisis mode” -- begs for caution.
\n

\n
The Marshallian K fell below zero in 2010, a year when the S&P 500 Index suffered a 16% correction. A similar dip in 2018 portended a selloff that almost killed that bull market.
\n
The Leuthold study is the latest attempt to handicap the market’s outlook from the perspective of liquidity. But not everyone is worried. Ed Yardeni, the president and founder of Yardeni Research Inc., says he prefers to plot not the growth rates but the absolute level of M2 against GDP to measure liquidity. Based on that, liquidity stood near a record high.
\n
“Some people start to freak out about the M2 growth rate,” he said in an interview on Bloomberg TV and Radio. “What they don’t really appreciate is M2 today is $5 trillion higher than it was before the pandemic. There is just a tremendous liquidity sitting there.”
\n
Others see limited impact from Fed tapering on the equity market. In June, researchfrom UBS Group AG showed that should the Fed turn off the spigot on its annual $1.4 trillion in quantitative-easing spending, the hit to the S&P 500 would be a paltry 3% decline in prices.
\n
In 2013, when the Fed’s announcement on a reduction in stimulus sparked ataper tantrumthat sent 10-year Treasury yields skyward, the S&P 500 pulled back almost 6% from its May peak that year. But stocks staged a full recovery within weeks and went on with a rally that eventually lifted the index 30% for the whole year.
\n
Skeptics, however, are quick to point out one big difference: equity valuations.
\n
“Back then, the stock market was trading at 15 times earnings. Short squeezes are very short-term events and they have a very poor track record of success.
\n
While I have a laundry list of issues with the basis for this trade, perhaps the single biggest is that retail traders are willingly ignoring AMC's dumpster fire of an income statement and balance sheet. This is a company that almost certainly won't be capable of paying back its debts when they come due by or before 2026. It's also now been hamstrung by the same retail investors who claimed to want to \"save AMC.\" That's because AMC has maxed out how many shares it's authorized to issue, and can therefore not take advantage of higher prices with a capital raise. The May proxy vote would have allowed AMC to take advantage of this recent spike, but shortsightedness from retail traders killed that idea.
\n
The AMC bull thesis is also built on a monument of misinformation. For example, retail traders believe hedge funds can bankrupt companies, when it's the operating performance and actions of businesses that determine whether or not they succeed or fail.
\n
Suffice it to say, the willful ignorance of concrete data in AMC's income statements and balance sheets will come back to haunt these traders.
\n
\n
Marathon Digital Holdings
\n
June would also be a very good time to say goodbye to a number Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) stocks. Cryptocurrency miner Marathon Digital Holdings (NASDAQ:MARA) may well top that list.
\n
As I've been previously stated, I'm not a fan of Bitcoin. Although it's the largest digital currency in the world by market value, it's been stuck at handling a meager 300,000 transactions daily for more than a year and is accepted by approximately 15,200 businesses worldwide. That's nothing when you consider that there an estimated 582 million entrepreneurs around the globe.
\n
Bitcoin is also prone to long-winded downtrends. Over the past decade, the top cryptocurrency has lost at least 80% of its value on three separate occasions. That's bad news for Marathon for two key reasons. First, Marathon Digital mines Bitcoin, and is therefore reliant on higher prices to increase its revenue. It's not even clear if Marathon's mining operations would be sustainable if Bitcoin, once again, declines by more than 80% from its high of nearly $65,000.
\n
The other issue is that Marathon purchased $150 million in Bitcoin earlier this year. While still up slightly on its investment, a protracted move lower in Bitcoin threatens to wipe out a good chunk of Marathon Digital's assets.
\n
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Crypto mining stocks are the worst way to invest in Bitcoin.
\n
\n
Sundial Growers
\n
Following its late-May rally, Sundial Growers (NASDAQ:SNDL) has once more emerged as the top marijuana stock to avoid, as well as one of the worst stocks to buy, as a whole.
\n
While marijuana is an intriguing place to put your money to work over the next five to 10 years, Canadian pot stock Sundial has consistently underperformed its peers and done nothing to build shareholder value.
\n
In an effort to rid its balance sheet of debt, the company's management team began selling stock in October 2020... and it just hasn't stopped. Sundial has built up a cash hoard of 1.08 billion Canadian (about $894 million U.S.), but has done so by issuing more than 1.35 billion shares of stock in eight months. As of May 7, the company had 1.86 billion shares outstanding -- and this figure is likely to go higher with an $800 million at-the-market share offering approved earlier this year. Sundial is building up cash with no particular purpose in mind and drowning its shareholders in the process.
\n
With 1.86 billion shares outstanding, Sundial has virtually no chance of ever producing meaningful earnings per share, and it may not be able to get back above $1 per share on a consistent basis. It'll likely have to follow in the footsteps of serial diluter Aurora Cannabis and reverse split to get its share price to a respectable level.
\n
As the icing on the cake, legal pot sales in Canada have grown significantly, while Sundial's marijuana sales have been slashed by a double-digit percentage. Despite the quickest drawdown of at least 30% in the broad-based S&P 500's storied history last year, investors who trusted in their investment theses have been handsomely rewarded. Over the trailing year, 910 stocks with a market cap of at least $300 million have doubled in value, with 62 of those stocks up by more than 500%.\nWhile it's great to see the U.S. economy getting back on track, some of the most popular stocks investors are buying are downright awful businesses. Even with things looking up for the market as a whole, the following five ultra-popular stocks should be avoided like the plague in June.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nAMC Entertainment\nThere's absolutely no question that the No. 1 stock to avoid like the plague in June is movie theater chain AMC Entertainment (NYSE:AMC). It's far and away the most disassociated stock from its underlying business.\nAs most folks probably know by now, retail traders from Reddit, Twitter, and other social media platforms have banded together to buy shares and call options in AMC, which is a fairly heavily short-sold stock. Their goal being to effect a short squeeze -- i.e., an event where pessimists (short-sellers) feel trapped in their positions and run for the exit at once. But the market's run could leave some companies way overvalued when compared to their underlying fundamentals.
\n
Trying to determine which stocks are overvalued can mean going against the grain of investor sentiment, but understanding the case against a stock can be valuable as well. With that in mind, here's why I think Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), Zoom Video Communications (NASDAQ:ZM), and Blink Charging (NASDAQ:BLNK) are all overvalued today.
\n
\n
A skeptic's view of Tesla
\n
There's no questioning how disruptive Tesla has been to the auto industry. The company has almost single-handedly forced nearly every automaker to begin to transition their fleets to electric powertrains years ahead of when it might otherwise have happened. But that doesn't mean Tesla's stock isn't incredibly expensive.
\n
First, we need to acknowledge that despite being profitable as a whole, Tesla generates more profit from selling regulatory credits than it does from building cars. In 2020, the company reported net income of $721 million, but without regulatory credits, it would have lost $859 million. Put another way, the $1.58 billion in revenue from regulatory credits means Tesla generated $2,635 in regulatory credits from every vehicle delivered last year. I point this out because Volkswagen (OTC:VWAGY), General Motors (NYSE:GM), Rivian, and many others are increasing their supply of electric vehicles (EVs) over the next few years, which means the demand for regulatory credits will likely go down just as the supply of credits is going up. What you have left is Tesla generating less revenue per vehicle at lower margins -- and overall, a company that's losing money.
\n
Tesla also has a challenge in autonomous driving coming its way. The company has has begun selling its \"full self driving\" service for $10,000 for new vehicles, but that could be a short-lived revenue stream. Companies like Cruise (majority owned by GM) and Waymo (owned by Alphabet) already have fully autonomous cars on the road today. In fact, according to Navigant Research, Tesla is behind almost every major automaker and technology company in autonomous driving technology. It's just that companies like Waymo, Cruise, Ford (NYSE:F), Baidu, VW, Zoox (owned by Amazon), and others haven't released products to the broader public as Tesla has. When they do, Tesla's autonomy technology may appear well behind the pack.
\n
TSLA PS Ratio data by YCharts.
\n
By any measure, Tesla's stock is extremely highly valued versus competitors' shares. When you add in the fact that Tesla is going to face dozens of new competitors in the EV market in the next few years, along with new autonomous driving options, this is a stock that I think is too highly valued right now. Of course, Tesla and CEO Elon Musk have proved doubters wrong before.
\n
Is Zoom really the future?
\n
Zoom was the surprise winner of the pandemic after tens of millions of people suddenly needed to learn how to work remotely. Zoom filled that market need and the company's revenue and share price have both gone through the roof. But has Zoom's stock gone too far, too fast?
\n
Judging the videoconferencing specialist by traditional valuation metrics is tough right now, because a price-to-sales ratio of 38 seems high, as does a price-to-earnings ratio of 150, but a 300%-plus growth rate is almost unfathomable for a company like Zoom.
\n
ZM PS Ratio data by YCharts.
\n
The current growth numbers are mind-bending, but what I think we need to start considering now is whether revenue actually goes backward late in 2021. Companies that have been on Zoom for a year now are starting to make plans to go back into the physical office, making Zoom less of a necessity and more of a luxury for millions of users. The people who I know that have gone remote and work with other people in a large office setting spend 6-8 hours every single day on Zoom, and that number is likely to drop 80% to 90% when they go back to the office. That data is anecdotal, but a post-pandemic world likely means far fewer virtual meetings, and that could be bad for Zoom's top line and its highly valued stock.
\n
Don't bet on an EV charging giant emerging
\n
One of the craziest stocks on the market today is Blink Charging. The company sells EV chargers and owns a network of charging stations as well. That could be a growth business in the long term, but is it worth 236 times revenue? I don't think so.
\n
BLNK Revenue (TTM) data by YCharts.
\n
There are multiple challenges Blink Charging will have to surmount to live up to its current valuation. But the market's run could leave some companies way overvalued when compared to their underlying fundamentals.\nTrying to determine which stocks are overvalued can mean going against the grain of investor sentiment, but understanding the case against a stock can be valuable as well. With that in mind, here's why I think Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), Zoom Video Communications (NASDAQ:ZM), and Blink Charging (NASDAQ:BLNK) are all overvalued today.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nA skeptic's view of Tesla\nThere's no questioning how disruptive Tesla has been to the auto industry. The company has almost single-handedly forced nearly every automaker to begin to transition their fleets to electric powertrains years ahead of when it might otherwise have happened. But that doesn't mean Tesla's stock isn't incredibly expensive.\nFirst, we need to acknowledge that despite being profitable as a whole, Tesla generates more profit from selling regulatory credits than it does from building cars. What you have left is Tesla generating less revenue per vehicle at lower margins -- and overall, a company that's losing money.\nTesla also has a challenge in autonomous driving coming its way. When they do, Tesla's autonomy technology may appear well behind the pack.\nTSLA PS Ratio data by YCharts.\nBy any measure, Tesla's stock is extremely highly valued versus competitors' shares. When you add in the fact that Tesla is going to face dozens of new competitors in the EV market in the next few years, along with new autonomous driving options, this is a stock that I think is too highly valued right now. Of course, Tesla and CEO Elon Musk have proved doubters wrong before.\nIs Zoom really the future?\nZoom was the surprise winner of the pandemic after tens of millions of people suddenly needed to learn how to work remotely. Zoom filled that market need and the company's revenue and share price have both gone through the roof. But has Zoom's stock gone too far, too fast?\nJudging the videoconferencing specialist by traditional valuation metrics is tough right now, because a price-to-sales ratio of 38 seems high, as does a price-to-earnings ratio of 150, but a 300%-plus growth rate is almost unfathomable for a company like Zoom.\nZM PS Ratio data by YCharts.\nThe current growth numbers are mind-bending, but what I think we need to start considering now is whether revenue actually goes backward late in 2021. That data is anecdotal, but a post-pandemic world likely means far fewer virtual meetings, and that could be bad for Zoom's top line and its highly valued stock.\nDon't bet on an EV charging giant emerging\nOne of the craziest stocks on the market today is Blink Charging. The company sells EV chargers and owns a network of charging stations as well. That could be a growth business in the long term, but is it worth 236 times revenue? I don't think so.\nBLNK Revenue (TTM) data by YCharts.\nThere are multiple challenges Blink Charging will have to surmount to live up to its current valuation. One is that the charging business is effectively a commodity business today. The other is that there's a lot of competition from other charging networks and even at-home charging. Long-term, I don't see how one network differentiates itself from another.\nI don't question that EV sales are growing rapidly and more chargers will be needed. But with just $4.5 million in sales last year, I don't think this is a company that should have a $1.6 billion market cap today.\nA high price for high growth\nWhat each of these companies has in common is high growth. But sometimes the premium being paid for growth can be too high, and that's what I'm seeing here. Tesla, Zoom, and Blink Charging could all be great businesses long-term, I just think they're too richly valued at their current stock prices.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":354,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":322302372,"gmtCreate":1615771150596,"gmtModify":1703492691412,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"New phone coming?","listText":"New phone coming?","text":"New phone coming?","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f9ae823788d265a4a143221f2b340a3d","width":"1125","height":"3437"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/322302372","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":384,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":326571393,"gmtCreate":1615691458412,"gmtModify":1703492118348,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Smongs","listText":"Smongs","text":"Smongs","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b23ca98742856f18b234fdfdbb5447a4","width":"1125","height":"3437"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/326571393","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":448,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":328677717,"gmtCreate":1615525419639,"gmtModify":1703490437543,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"To the moon","listText":"To the moon","text":"To the moon","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8dd6f0bd0d59457cb4d7884d827ee5e5","width":"1125","height":"3707"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":5,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/328677717","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":300,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":321277037,"gmtCreate":1615446450929,"gmtModify":1703489150556,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Tell me your opinion about this news...","listText":"Tell me your opinion about this news...","text":"Tell me your opinion about this news...","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/321277037","repostId":"1193249608","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":393,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":321274143,"gmtCreate":1615446378682,"gmtModify":1703489149864,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Missing the M","listText":"Missing the M","text":"Missing the M","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/321274143","repostId":"1133824619","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1133824619","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1615445978,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1133824619?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-03-11 14:59","market":"us","language":"en","title":"GE Stock Is Down for Four Reasons, None of Them Good","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1133824619","media":"Barrons","summary":"Investors aren’t happy with something about General Electric stock.\nGE (ticker: GE) had a big day, s","content":"
Investors aren’t happy with something about General Electric stock.
\n
GE (ticker: GE) had a big day, selling itsjet-leasing business to AerCap(AER) and giving more financial guidance for 2021 at an investor event. Management appears pleased with the direction of the company, but the stock is down anyway. A few things might be nettling investors, and fueling GE bears unconvinced by turnaround efforts, but nothing really changed Wednesday.
\n
GE stock is off almost 6%. The S&P 500,for comparison, is up about 0.6%. What’s more, GE stock is now below where it was before rumors of the AerCapdeal leaked.
\n
Bullish investors are probably asking what gives? A few things might be at play.
\n
First, the AerCap deal might have contained some unwanted surprises. Analysts, however, appear to like the GECAS, short for General Electric Capital Aviation Services, sale. Barclays analyst Julian Mitchell commented early Wednesday: ” The ongoing simplification of the company should be well received.” And RBC analyst Deane Dray noted GE stock was up in premarket trading adding “the early reception to the slew of positive updates from the company seems warranted.” Both analysts commented before GE stock turned lower.
\n
There is a lot to be positive about. GE is getting more than $30 billion in cash, stock, and debt for GECAS. Still, the deal will generate an income statement loss of $3 billion. GECAS has more assets that the value coming in the door.
\n
That shouldn’t be a surprise though. The quality of GECAS assets has been debated for a while. There has been talk, for instance, about its book of helicopter assets which have been hurt by things such as falling energy prices and a drop in activity. (Some helicopters service oil platforms.) But AerCap took everything—helicopters and all. There really isn’t much to complain about.
\n
GE, with the sale, is going to end reporting GE Capital numbers on a standalone basis. “From 2018 to 2020, we reduced GE Capital assets from $86 billion to $68 billion,” explained CFO Carolina Dybeck Happe on the company’s conference call. “Upon close, we expect to transfer GECAS assets to AerCap and liquidate the majority of our on book factoring. This results in $21 billion of remaining GE Capital assets ex Insurance.” GE Capital will be much smaller than it has been in decades.
\n
Smaller GE Capital is another positive but one word in that explanation might also be troubling investors: Factoring.
\n
GE Capital, essentially, buys some of the industrial business’s receivables, providing the latter with cash. The process is a working-capital-management strategy. GE management is ending factoring partly to enhance simplicity and transparency.
\n
GE is using some of the cash coming in from AerCap to essentially unwind some more.
\n
Here’s the thing. Bears will say the factoring elimination means GE’s 2021 free-cash-flow guidance of about $3.5 billion isn’t really valid. Bears want factoring changes included in the guidance. Bulls, for their part, will argue the factoring unwind is essentially debt repayment.
\n
Both parties have points, but GE isn’t pulling a fast one. Management talks about factoring a lot. Wall Street follows the issue closely too. Bank of America analyst Andrew Obin, for instance, in a recent research report noted management laid out 2021 factoring impacts on the fourth-quarter-earnings conference call, adding “we sense investors underappreciate the magnitude of the drag reducing factoring balances has been on [free cash flow] over the past few years.”
\n
That might be the case. Investors don’t appear to like hearing about factoring. But the entire complicated explanation ultimately in less debt at GE. That’s a positive.
\n
A third thing that might be weighing on investors’ minds is that S&P debt-rating services put GE’s BBB+ corporate credit weighting on negative watch after the AerCap deal. The reason is that the rest of GE Capital isn’t as stable as GECAS. Things such as poorly performing long-term-care insurance contracts will be left over after GECAS is gone. That isn’t news though. Such insurance has been a focus of investors for years, and one reason GE is raising cash to pay down debt. What’s more, Moody’s and Fitch both reaffirmed GE’s credit ratings this morning.
\n
The reverse stock split might be the fourth reason. GE announced plans to give investors one new share for every eight they hold. Reverse splits can make investors nervous by signaling the business outlook isn’t good. That doesn’t appear to be the case, though.
\n
“One of the things I came to appreciate at GE is we have a share count that puts us out of reach of any peer or competitor,” CEO Larry Culp tells Barron’s. “It’s nothing more than cleaning up an excessively large share count.”
\n
There could be other reasons related to the actual outlook for earnings, but not much changed there, either. The best reason for GE’s stock drop might be that the stock has been up, about 30% year to date coming into Wednesday, and at the highest levels since Culp was brought in to turn around operations.
\n
That might not be a very satisfying answer. But investors might be happier that GE Capital won’t be a big deal in the near future, and that GE stock will rise and fall on the success of its industrial businesses.
","source":"lsy1601382232898","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
GE Stock Is Down for Four Reasons, None of Them Good
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nGE Stock Is Down for Four Reasons, None of Them Good\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-03-11 14:59 GMT+8 Barrons\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Investors aren’t happy with something about General Electric stock.\nGE (ticker: GE) had a big day, selling itsjet-leasing business to AerCap(AER) and giving more financial guidance for 2021 at an ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"GE":"GE航空航天"},"source_url":"https://www.barrons.com/articles/ge-stock-is-down-for-four-reasons-51615404231?mod=hp_LEADSUPP_3","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1133824619","content_text":"Investors aren’t happy with something about General Electric stock.\nGE (ticker: GE) had a big day, selling itsjet-leasing business to AerCap(AER) and giving more financial guidance for 2021 at an investor event. The S&P 500,for comparison, is up about 0.6%. What’s more, GE stock is now below where it was before rumors of the AerCapdeal leaked.\nBullish investors are probably asking what gives? A few things might be at play.\nFirst, the AerCap deal might have contained some unwanted surprises. Analysts, however, appear to like the GECAS, short for General Electric Capital Aviation Services, sale. Barclays analyst Julian Mitchell commented early Wednesday: ” The ongoing simplification of the company should be well received.” And RBC analyst Deane Dray noted GE stock was up in premarket trading adding “the early reception to the slew of positive updates from the company seems warranted.” Both analysts commented before GE stock turned lower.\nThere is a lot to be positive about. GE is getting more than $30 billion in cash, stock, and debt for GECAS. Still, the deal will generate an income statement loss of $3 billion. GECAS has more assets that the value coming in the door.\nThat shouldn’t be a surprise though. The quality of GECAS assets has been debated for a while. There has been talk, for instance, about its book of helicopter assets which have been hurt by things such as falling energy prices and a drop in activity. (Some helicopters service oil platforms.) But AerCap took everything—helicopters and all. There really isn’t much to complain about.\nGE, with the sale, is going to end reporting GE Capital numbers on a standalone basis. This results in $21 billion of remaining GE Capital assets ex Insurance.” GE Capital will be much smaller than it has been in decades.\nSmaller GE Capital is another positive but one word in that explanation might also be troubling investors: Factoring.\nGE Capital, essentially, buys some of the industrial business’s receivables, providing the latter with cash. The process is a working-capital-management strategy. GE management is ending factoring partly to enhance simplicity and transparency.\nGE is using some of the cash coming in from AerCap to essentially unwind some more.\nHere’s the thing. Bears will say the factoring elimination means GE’s 2021 free-cash-flow guidance of about $3.5 billion isn’t really valid. Bears want factoring changes included in the guidance. Bulls, for their part, will argue the factoring unwind is essentially debt repayment.\nBoth parties have points, but GE isn’t pulling a fast one. Management talks about factoring a lot. Wall Street follows the issue closely too. Bank of America analyst Andrew Obin, for instance, in a recent research report noted management laid out 2021 factoring impacts on the fourth-quarter-earnings conference call, adding “we sense investors underappreciate the magnitude of the drag reducing factoring balances has been on [free cash flow] over the past few years.”\nThat might be the case. Investors don’t appear to like hearing about factoring. But the entire complicated explanation ultimately in less debt at GE. That’s a positive.\nA third thing that might be weighing on investors’ minds is that S&P debt-rating services put GE’s BBB+ corporate credit weighting on negative watch after the AerCap deal. What’s more, Moody’s and Fitch both reaffirmed GE’s credit ratings this morning.\nThe reverse stock split might be the fourth reason. GE announced plans to give investors one new share for every eight they hold. Reverse splits can make investors nervous by signaling the business outlook isn’t good. That doesn’t appear to be the case, though.\n“One of the things I came to appreciate at GE is we have a share count that puts us out of reach of any peer or competitor,” CEO Larry Culp tells Barron’s. “It’s nothing more than cleaning up an excessively large share count.”\nThere could be other reasons related to the actual outlook for earnings, but not much changed there, either. The best reason for GE’s stock drop might be that the stock has been up, about 30% year to date coming into Wednesday, and at the highest levels since Culp was brought in to turn around operations.\nThat might not be a very satisfying answer. But investors might be happier that GE Capital won’t be a big deal in the near future, and that GE stock will rise and fall on the success of its industrial businesses.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":529,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":364335235,"gmtCreate":1614814446127,"gmtModify":1703481420023,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Comment on my comment","listText":"Comment on my comment","text":"Comment on my comment","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":4,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/364335235","repostId":"1101391971","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":466,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":328677717,"gmtCreate":1615525419639,"gmtModify":1703490437543,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"To the moon","listText":"To the moon","text":"To the moon","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8dd6f0bd0d59457cb4d7884d827ee5e5","width":"1125","height":"3707"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":5,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/328677717","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":300,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":364335235,"gmtCreate":1614814446127,"gmtModify":1703481420023,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Comment on my comment","listText":"Comment on my comment","text":"Comment on my comment","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":4,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/364335235","repostId":"1101391971","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1101391971","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1614784554,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1101391971?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-03-03 23:15","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Rocket Mortgage founder Dan Gilbert made $30 billion on paper after stock's surge","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1101391971","media":"cnbc","summary":"KEY POINTS\n\nShares of Rocket Companies, where Gilbert is the majority shareholder, jumped more than ","content":"
\n
KEY POINTS\n\nShares of Rocket Companies, where Gilbert is the majority shareholder, jumped more than 70% on Tuesday, adding $17.30 per share.\nAccording to InsiderScore.com and securities filings, ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"cnbc_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Roughly speaking, it’s the gap between the rates of growth in money supply and gross domestic product, an indicator known to eco-geeks as Marshallian K.

Roughly speaking, it’s the gap between the rates of growth in money supply and gross domestic product, an indicator known to eco-geeks as Marshallian K. It just turned negative for the first time since 2018, meaning GDP is rising faster than the government’s M2 account.\nThe shortfall comes from an expanding economy that’s quickly depleting the nation’s available money. The deficit could become a problem for markets at a time when excess liquidity is seen as underpinning rallies in everything from Bitcoin to meme stocks.\n“Put another way, the recovering economy is now drinking from a punch bowl that the stock market once had all to itself,” Doug Ramsey, Leuthold Group’s chief investment officer, wrote in a note last week.\nHow big a threat is this? While stocks kept rising during frequent negative Marshallian K readings in the 1990s, the pattern since the 2008 global financial crisis -- a period when the central bank was in what Ramsey calls a “perpetual crisis mode” -- begs for caution.\n\nThe Marshallian K fell below zero in 2010, a year when the S&P 500 Index suffered a 16% correction. A similar dip in 2018 portended a selloff that almost killed that bull market.\nThe Leuthold study is the latest attempt to handicap the market’s outlook from the perspective of liquidity. But not everyone is worried. Ed Yardeni, the president and founder of Yardeni Research Inc., says he prefers to plot not the growth rates but the absolute level of M2 against GDP to measure liquidity.
Such insurance has been a focus of investors for years, and one reason GE is raising cash to pay down debt. But investors might be happier that GE Capital won’t be a big deal in the near future, and that GE stock will rise and fall on the success of its industrial businesses.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":529,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":812580488,"gmtCreate":1630594358544,"gmtModify":1632471002010,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Dont NIO is not as expensive as some other EV stocks, but shares are, on the other hand, still trading at a steep premium compared to how legacy auto companies are valued. Overall, NIO could return significant amounts of money in the coming years, but that is not a certainty, and investors should keep an eye on NIO's risk factors.
\n
NIO Stock Price
\n
NIO, Inc. is one of China's leading EV pure-plays, and that is reflected in its current valuation:
\n
Data by YCharts
\n
At slightly below $40, NIO is valued at more than $60 billion right now. This is about 40% less than the valuation shares have traded at when they peaked in early 2021, which reflects the declining enthusiasm for EV stocks, as most of NIO's peers, including Tesla (TSLA), have seen their shares come back as well. Still, for reference, NIO is valued around the same level as Ford (F) - which is a way larger company for now, in terms of revenue and vehicle sales.
\n
Is NIO A Good Long-Term Stock?
\n
NIO is active in the high-growth EV market and thus benefits a lot from market growth tailwinds. On top of that, NIO also has an attractive product portfolio that includes well-received models such as the ES6 and ES8 SUVs. What differentiates NIO from most other EV companies is its battery-swapping technology that allows consumers to get a fully-charged battery in a couple of minutes when visiting one of NIO's battery-swapping stations.
\n
This means that the downtime when doing longer trips via an EV is reduced dramatically, as a battery-swap takes roughly as much time as refueling an ICE-powered car, whereas recharging most EVs takes well more than a couple of minutes. NIO's battery-swapping stations are being built out around China right now, although there is no meaningful footprint outside of NIO's home market yet.
\n
Still, NIO plans to roll out that service in international markets over the years, and once there is a large enough footprint of them to make a difference, this should be a unique selling point for NIO that will help differentiate its offerings from those of most peers. This could, I believe, result in further market share gains, which is why I wouldn't be surprised to see NIO grow at a rapid pace for the coming years.
\n
For 2021, NIO will likely deliver revenue growth of more than 100% on the back of strong deliveries growth, as the analyst community is currently forecasting a 130% revenue increase this year. For Q2, NIO is expecting a growth rate of around 110% for its deliveries, following a massive 480% revenue increase during the first quarter. NIO thus is growing quicker than the EV market as a whole, and also quicker than peers such as Tesla, which will grow by around 50%-60% this year, according to the analyst community, which is about half the growth rate that is expected for NIO this year.
\n
Maintaining 100%+ growth forever is, of course, not possible, and NIO's growth will decline from that level in the coming years. But due to the fact that its products are well-liked in its home market, while the company is also ambitiously planning a major entry into the large European EV market, NIO should still deliver very considerable growth in the coming years.
\n
Obvious growth tailwinds for a company, or even an industry, do not necessarily equate to massive share price upside, however. Investors should consider that NIO will, like all auto companies, be active in a cyclical, capital-intense industry where margins, on average, are not very high. This doesn't mean that NIO does not have long-term upside, but investors should keep in mind that a home run is not guaranteed when investing in NIO or other EV stocks - despite the fact that EV sales are growing quickly.
\n
NIO Stock Forecast In 5 Years
\n
NIO will grow its revenues by more than 100% this year, according to most estimates, but growth projections beyond that point are varying a lot more. Looking at 2022, for example, the analyst consensus for NIO's revenues is $8.7 billion, which would reflect a 78% increase versus the consensus for 2021. Estimates are in a wide range, however, as analyst estimates range from $7.3 billion to $11.9 billion in revenue in 2022.
\n
In other words, the most bullish estimates see NIO deliver 60% higher revenues than the most bearish estimates. Since these estimates are being made for 2022 - just one year from now - this wide discrepancy shows how hard it is to forecast exact revenue or earnings numbers for a company like NIO.
\n
For my estimate for 2025's revenues, I'll go with the analyst consensus for 2022, i.e. $8.7 billion, and then assume that revenues will grow at 1.5x the forecasted overall market growth rate of 27% in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026. This would get us to $34 billion in revenue in 2026, i.e. five years from now. Since analysts are currently forecasting that revenue will grow by 110% this year, and by around 80% next year, some readers may argue that a 40% growth rate estimate for 2023-2026 is too conservative. But the major unknowns and uncertainties around competitive pressures, government policies, etc., mean that I think that projecting a higher growth rate for many years in advance might be too optimistic.
\n
What might a $34 billion top line mean for NIO's stock price? Right now, shares are valued at 11.6x this year's expected sales, which is almost perfectly in line with the valuation of XPeng (XPEV), and slightly lower than that of Tesla:
\n
Data by YCharts
\n
Looking at 2022, we see that shares are valued at around 7x expected revenues right now, whereas XPeng and Tesla trade at 6x and 9x their expected revenues right now. I highly doubt that the average EV company will be trading at high single-digit or even double-digit sales multiples in 2026, as this is just too much of a difference versus the 0.5-2x revenue multiples that legacy auto companies usually trade at. But when we assume that NIO, as an EV pure-play, will still trade at a premium to legacy auto in the middle of the 2020s, a 3x or 4x sales multiple might be a realistic estimate.
\n
When we go with 3.5x our revenue forecast for 2026, that would equate to a market capitalization of 119 billion - about 90% more than NIO's current market capitalization. NIO's share count has not been constant, however, and has, in fact, been rising considerably in the past. When we assume that the share count will rise by another 20% through 2026, to 1.9 billion, then shares would trade at $61 in 2026. This would mean that shares have an upside potential of around 55% over the next five years, or about 9% annually.
\n
That is not at all unattractive, but it also isn't an absolutely outstanding return. On top of that, NIO, like many other EV startups, is a company with above-average volatility, above-average risks, and above-average uncertainties. I thus would not call NIO overly attractive at current prices, as the forecasted return is solid, but goes hand in hand with considerable risks/uncertainties. One can, of course, argue that the forecasted growth is too high, or too low, or that the target sales multiple should be different in 2026. As a base case scenario, I feel like this is reasonable, however.
\n
Is NIO Stock A Buy Now?
\n
In retrospect, it is pretty clear that NIO at $10 about a year ago was a great opportunity, and that buying NIO at $67 at the peak earlier this year was a pretty bad decision. NIO today, in the high $30s, is somewhere in between these two extremes. I believe that, for long-term investors, NIO has a good chance of delivering solid returns over the years. At the same time, however, a lot of growth is priced into the stock right now, and it is not possible to forecast what competitors will do over the coming years, how accommodating governments will be to EVs, how well the rollout in Europe and other international markets will go, etc.
\n
I think NIO is more attractive than many other EV companies today, including many of the EV startups that don't have any viable products yet, and also versus Tesla (which is growing slower and still trades at a higher valuation). I would not be surprised to see NIO's stock deliver solid returns during the 2020s. I don't think that NIO is an absolute no-brainer buy today, however, as NIO still trades at a quite high valuation, for now, even factoring in its strong growth.
\n
For those that are enterprising and do not mind the risks and uncertainties around future product launches and international expansion, the stock's volatility, and so on, NIO could be a buy today. But it is not a good choice for everyone, and some may want to watch the EV race from the sidelines instead of putting money at risk at current valuations.
\n
The current analyst consensus share price target is $59, but I personally do not think this is realistic in the very near term. Based on expected revenues for 2021, this would put NIO at an 18x sales multiple, which is, I believe, not justified. Over the next five years, however, a share price in that region seems achievable, I believe.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Where Will NIO Stock Be In 5 Years?
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nWhere Will NIO Stock Be In 5 Years?\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-06-02 15:13 GMT+8 seekingalpha\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Summary\n\nNIO is a high-growth Chinese EV player with attractive products.\nIts BaaS technology provides a USP that should help NIO gain market share in the coming years.\nNIO is trading at a high ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"NIO":"蔚来"},"source_url":"https://seekingalpha.com/article/4432423-nio-stock-in-5-years","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1128017388","content_text":"Summary\n\nNIO is a high-growth Chinese EV player with attractive products.\nIts BaaS technology provides a USP that should help NIO gain market share in the coming years.\nNIO is trading at a high valuation, and a lot of future growth is priced in already. Since these estimates are being made for 2022 - just one year from now - this wide discrepancy shows how hard it is to forecast exact revenue or earnings numbers for a company like NIO.\nFor my estimate for 2025's revenues, I'll go with the analyst consensus for 2022, i.e. But the major unknowns and uncertainties around competitive pressures, government policies, etc., mean that I think that projecting a higher growth rate for many years in advance might be too optimistic.\nWhat might a $34 billion top line mean for NIO's stock price? Right now, shares are valued at 11.6x this year's expected sales, which is almost perfectly in line with the valuation of XPeng (XPEV), and slightly lower than that of Tesla:\nData by YCharts\nLooking at 2022, we see that shares are valued at around 7x expected revenues right now, whereas XPeng and Tesla trade at 6x and 9x their expected revenues right now. I highly doubt that the average EV company will be trading at high single-digit or even double-digit sales multiples in 2026, as this is just too much of a difference versus the 0.5-2x revenue multiples that legacy auto companies usually trade at. But when we assume that NIO, as an EV pure-play, will still trade at a premium to legacy auto in the middle of the 2020s, a 3x or 4x sales multiple might be a realistic estimate.\nWhen we go with 3.5x our revenue forecast for 2026, that would equate to a market capitalization of 119 billion - about 90% more than NIO's current market capitalization. NIO's share count has not been constant, however, and has, in fact, been rising considerably in the past. When we assume that the share count will rise by another 20% through 2026, to 1.9 billion, then shares would trade at $61 in 2026. This would mean that shares have an upside potential of around 55% over the next five years, or about 9% annually.\nThat is not at all unattractive, but it also isn't an absolutely outstanding return. As a base case scenario, I feel like this is reasonable, however.\nIs NIO Stock A Buy Now?\nIn retrospect, it is pretty clear that NIO at $10 about a year ago was a great opportunity, and that buying NIO at $67 at the peak earlier this year was a pretty bad decision. NIO today, in the high $30s, is somewhere in between these two extremes. I believe that, for long-term investors, NIO has a good chance of delivering solid returns over the years. At the same time, however, a lot of growth is priced into the stock right now, and it is not possible to forecast what competitors will do over the coming years, how accommodating governments will be to EVs, how well the rollout in Europe and other international markets will go, etc.\nI think NIO is more attractive than many other EV companies today, including many of the EV startups that don't have any viable products yet, and also versus Tesla (which is growing slower and still trades at a higher valuation). I would not be surprised to see NIO's stock deliver solid returns during the 2020s. I don't think that NIO is an absolute no-brainer buy today, however, as NIO still trades at a quite high valuation, for now, even factoring in its strong growth.\nFor those that are enterprising and do not mind the risks and uncertainties around future product launches and international expansion, the stock's volatility, and so on, NIO could be a buy today. But it is not a good choice for everyone, and some may want to watch the EV race from the sidelines instead of putting money at risk at current valuations.\nThe current analyst consensus share price target is $59, but I personally do not think this is realistic in the very near term. Based on expected revenues for 2021, this would put NIO at an 18x sales multiple, which is, I believe, not justified. Over the next five years, however, a share price in that region seems achievable, I believe.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":376,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":111022726,"gmtCreate":1622645280565,"gmtModify":1634099610059,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/111022726","repostId":"2140419846","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":451,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":837682158,"gmtCreate":1629883595974,"gmtModify":1633681730682,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"More gpu pls","listText":"More gpu pls","text":"More gpu pls","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/837682158","repostId":"1120813722","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":490,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":127585116,"gmtCreate":1624856817735,"gmtModify":1633947872234,"author":{"id":"3575351746527505","authorId":"3575351746527505","name":"Smell","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/75af3f9b5db9b48312ff4d8a534e1128","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3575351746527505","authorIdStr":"3575351746527505"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Oh no no no no no","listText":"Oh no no no no no","text":"Oh no no no no no","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/127585116","repostId":"1132692662","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1132692662","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1624680481,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1132692662?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-26 12:08","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tesla recalls some imported and domestic Model 3 and Model Y in China","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1132692662","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Recently, Tesla filed a recall plan and decided to recall some vehicles from now on,according to China's State Administration of market supervision.Tesla decided to recall 35665 imported Model 3 produced between January 12, 2019 and November 27, 2019.Meanwhile, Tesla will recall some domestic Model 3 produced from December 19, 2019 to June 7, 2021, totaling 211256 vehicles; A total of 38599 domestic Model Y were produced from January 1, 2021 to June 7, 2021.In response to the recall, Tesla said ","content":"
Recently, Tesla filed a recall plan and decided to recall some vehicles from now on,according to China's State Administration of market supervision.
\n
Tesla decided to recall 35665 imported Model 3 produced between January 12, 2019 and November 27, 2019.
\n
Meanwhile, Tesla will recall some domestic Model 3 produced from December 19, 2019 to June 7, 2021, totaling 211256 vehicles; A total of 38599 domestic Model Y were produced from January 1, 2021 to June 7, 2021.
\n
Due to the problems of the active cruise control system of the vehicles within the scope of this recall, it is easy for the driver to activate the active cruise function by mistake in the following situations: when the vehicle is in D gear, the driver tries to switch the gear by pushing the right control lever again; When the vehicle turns sharply, the driver touches and moves the right control lever by mistake, etc. After the active cruise control is mistakenly activated, if the cruise speed set by the vehicle is not the current speed, and the current speed is lower than the set speed, the vehicle will accelerate to the set speed, resulting in a sudden increase in vehicle speed, which will affect the driver's expectation and lead to misjudgment of vehicle handling. Boeing declined comment.
\n
The proposed deal follows speculation of a faceoff between the smallest member of Boeing’s MAX family and the A220 from Airbus.
\n
Each 737 MAX 7 carries a list price of roughly $100 million, though such jets usually sell for less than half their official value with typical market discounts, according to aircraft industry sources.
\n
The exact terms of any deal and the timing of a possible announcement were not clear.
\n
Boeing shares gained 6.4% to close at $245.34 on Wednesday.
